Freshmen will be going on a field trip to Texas State University on PSAT day, October 22. Here’s a few things you need to know about the trip.
The field trip to Texas State is October 22, 2025, which is less than three weeks away.
“We will be doing a couple of assignments while we are on the trip to keep us focused on the college tour.” Said Mrs. Montgomery, who is planning everything for the trip. “We are going to be doing a lot of walking”
Mrs. Montgomery’s Recommended Packing List:
- A Water Bottle
- Comfy Shoes
- School Appropriate Sunscreen
- A Pencil with extra led and an eraser
- Sunscreen
- Money for Lunch OR a Lunch
Remember to pay attention to what people are saying, and keep an eye out for important things to note. Montgomery also stressed not to bring anything you can’t have on campus. “If you can’t bring it to school, don’t bring it to Texas State.”
Chaperones for the trip include Mrs. Montgomery, Mrs. Storter, Mr. Perez, Mr. Hallum, Mrs. Sells and a few parent volunteers. Overall, the trip should be similar to the Freshman trip to Northeast Lakeview College during the summer.
Montgomery gave a final reminder to “stay on the sidewalks or paths and with your group, and not to destroy property.”
